For those Chapter members planning on preparing to take the Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) certification examination this year, please read on as we have something to tell you that we believe will prove to be of great value to you.
Taking a preparation course or joining a local study group are just some of the ways you can enhance your chances of passing the exam. I certainly can’t speak for everyone, but I know that it helped me to pass the exam on my first try.
We are delighted that one of our Chapter members, Roy Nyquist, offers a preparation class that has proved helpful to many contracts professionals nationally to be well prepared to take the test. Roy has more than 25 years of hands-on government procurement experience at all levels in the acquisition cycle and has taught at a number of national NCMA events and conferences. He has also taught similar preparation classes for NCMA HQ.
Should you be interested, here is information regarding how you can enroll. Weekly teleconference classes commence on February 19, 2019 and end on April 23, 2019.
Important – Students are responsible for purchasing the required textbook from NCMA HQ: Certified Federal Contracts Manager, Study Guide. NCMA, 3rd Edition, 2016. If you are interested in participating in the class / study group, we would suggest you place your order for the book (if you do not already have a copy) sometime within the next week. That should provide HQ more than sufficient time to ship you your book prior to commencement of the first study session that starts at the end of this month.
Note: In the informational & registration flyer above there are Payment buttons. Once you press, you will get into a screen that looks like this. Please pay by entering your Pay Pal account information, or if you don’t have a PayPal account, please press the Pay with Debit or Credit Card information as illustrated in the screen shot below and then fill out the CC information asked for in the next screen it takes you to.
We will also offer our membership the opportunity to take the examination with fellow NCMA Chapter members at a location in the greater Melbourne area in May of this year. More details on that will be following in the near future, so please stay tuned. The costs associated with taking a local Chapter proctored exam are less than going to a test center.
